Modern culture has a plan in place for you to take care of mom and dad. The popular answer is to let someone else care for elderly parents. Your parents.
Promiscuity pays out in counterfeit money. The resulting relationship built upon sex imitates the real thing (marriage), but it is not genuine. Marriage says love is committed to you for life, no matter what comes. Promiscuity says you can have some of the benefits of the married life, but it won’t be backed by anything substantial.
For money to be worth anything, it has to be backed by something. It has to be worth honoring. What backs the sex in the promiscuous lifestyle?
Not a promise. Not a vow. No obligation to fidelity. No duty to exclusivity. Nothing, really.
Pope Saint John Paul II continues his assessment in Evangelium Vitae, showing how wide reaching this Culture of Death pervades.
“A general and no less serious responsibility lies with those who have encouraged the spread of an attitude of sexual permissiveness and a lack of esteem for motherhood…,” the late Vicar of Christ writes (#59).
While you are at it, can you find me the phone number to your local food kitchen being run by atheists?
The fact is, conservatives give a lot of their time, talent, and financial aid to those in need. Don’t tell me pro-lifers don’t care about people once they are born.
This study should immediately put to rest the practice of Catholic hospitals to prescribe Plan B to rape victims within their emergency rooms. Such a practice should be ended everywhere.

Hallelujah! He is Risen! I hope you had a grace-filled Easter, celebrating Jesus Christ’s victory over sin and death on our behalf. I have a little announcement: With family in town and a vacation planned thereafter, this week is booked for me. As a result, I will be taking this week off. I will be […]
“That is why the Crucifix is inescapable; we either shrink from it or we embrace it; but we are not indifferent to it…” -The Archbishop
The anger can be directed toward her own children, as well. Some women have testified as much. Their feelings of inadequacy to be a mother caused them to abuse, or even to kill their living children. Some see it as self-punishment for procuring their abortion.
Such selfishness would counteract your parental instinct. Forget defending your children from the dangers of the world, like a mama bear. Instead, you would be letting the world get between you and your own baby.
What does that communicate to your other children? That they are expendable. They are alive merely by the luck of being conceived at a different time within your family.
As well, your attitude toward all your children will likely be shifted negatively.
