Say what you will about the man. But to steal a phrase from former VP Joe Biden, it remains “a big [expletive] deal” that the 45th President of these United States addressed the 45th Annual March for Life in Washington, DC.[click to continue...]

The right-to-life movement would be essentially erased, if pro-life advocates adopt Renkl’s short-sighted supposed solution.
Let’s begin by observing the most obvious error in her thinking. That is, by agreeing to not talk about the issues of abortion, contraception, so-called “gay marriage,” L.G.B.T. issues, and so forth, we would thus guarantee their further decaying of our culture. Only by shining a light into the darkness of sinful behavior does such behavior ever end. “Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them,” the Bible instructs (Eph 5:11).[click to continue...]
We in the USA are accustomed to a couple falling in love, entering an engagement, and then having their wedding. Whereas, the routine in Biblical times did not follow this pattern. Those who do not understand the culture of Biblical times instead project their modern understandings back onto the text and end up with faulty translations.[click to continue...]
Those throwing vasectomy parties are, thus, guilty of scandalizing their friends and family. They are making light of a grave sin against their very nature as human beings. You are spending time with this other person in a dating relationship so as to discern whether you wish to spend the rest of your life with him or her. If you cannot decide yes within a few months, then you probably best ought to move on. Why perpetuate the period of indecision?[click to continue...]
The barren woman, if you pardon the simile, has become the sacred cow of our culture. [click to continue...]
I attended a Requiem Mass awhile ago for a deceased relative of a family friend. My understanding of our Catholic faith was that we were coming together to pray for the deceased. But apparently the celebrant priest was under a different modus operandi.[click to continue...]
In light of the tragedy at Sutherland Springs Baptist Church last week, many churchgoers felt compelled to pack heat in self-defense. This is an understandable and very human response. After all, self-preservation and the desire to protect one’s family from unjust aggressors lie within our human nature. Everyone is entitled to feel this way.
Well, that is, unless you live in the Diocese of Dallas, Texas.[click to continue...]
