Not everyone can see the connection between euthanasia and abortion. Hopefully this will help everyone to connect the dots.
SCARY LEGISLATION CURRENTLY PROPOSED
LifeNews.com has reported New York State has two pieces of legislation currently proposed that would legalize euthanasia, even against the will of the patient.
Attorney Margaret Dore, described the bills as permitting “the perfect crime.” LifeNews.com quotes her as saying, “If enacted, the New York bills will allow assisted suicide (or euthanasia) without consent. And in case I’m being too subtle, the drugs used are water and alcohol soluble, such that they can be injected into a restrained or sleeping person. After the person dies, the death certificate is REQUIRED to reflect a natural death. It’s the perfect crime.”
In other words, someone could kill you against your will, if they deem your life expendable. All that would be needed is a diagnosis that you have less than six months to live.
If passed, New Yorkers wouldn’t be allowed to live out those entire six months necessarily. They would not always be allowed to see if they can outlive the doctor’s prognosis.
Sounds scary, doesn’t it?
THE MEANING OF THE WORD ‘EUTHANASIA’
And it should sound scary.
‘Euthanasia’ itself has an oxymoronic name for what it supposedly represents.
No, it has nothing to do with “youth in Asia.”
Rather, the etymology breaks down like this: ‘eu’ is a Greek prefix meaning “well” or “good.” And ‘thanatos’ is Greek for ‘death.’ Thus, together, it means ‘good death.’
Except, it is not a “good death.” This is murder. No euphemism is going to fix that.
They want to claim it is better for people to be “put out of their misery.” It would be easier on everyone to ease the suffering. As if doing evil (i.e., murder) so that good (easing suffering) comes from it is morally justified.
CONNECTING EUTHANASIA AND ABORTION
Ask yourself, why does euthanasia bother our consciences?
After all, we have already codified into law that a mother may see to it her own child be murdered (through abortion). Thus, we have accepted the legal and immoral precedent that someone may murder someone else.
Given that our culture has accepted this immoral premise, it has no legal, moral or other argument against euthanasia.
Where the unborn child represents a threat to the mother’s socioeconomic wellbeing, the terminally-ill patient serves as a drain on finances. Where the unborn child’s right to life is usurped by those older than her, the terminally-ill patient’s right to life is surpassed by those more physically healthy.
Where the unborn is killed for eugenics motivations fr having Down Syndrome or other abnormalities, the terminally-ill patient has the plug pulled for becoming a physically- or mentally-unfit inconvenience, as well.
It may not sound too problematic now, but imagine being on the other end. Imagine you were Christopher Dunn, a Texas resident in a hospital that tried to end your life even though you were conscience and visibly objected. The video below is of Christopher Dunn and what taken recently.
CLOSING THOUGHTS
God, have mercy.
When will the Culture of Death rest? The devil is succeeding in convincing millions that life itself is meaningless and valueless. By using euthanasia and abortion, the devil has achieved in getting mankind to murder each other at both ends of life.
Will those bills pass in New York State? I pray they do not. But I would not be surprised if they do.
