Welcome to prolife365.com!
Hello, my name is Kevin Kukla, 29, living near Dallas. I am a happy husband, as well as a proud father of three young children–a five-year-old daughter, a two-year-old son, and a preborn.
Also, I am willing dive into a dumpster, if it means recovering dead bodies. Especially dead bodies of aborted babies. Yes, such a work can and has advanced the pro-life cause. It has also allowed hundreds of others to participate in the corporal work of mercy of burying the dead.
Let me explain…
My 15 Minutes of Fame
You may remember back to about March 2008, when national headlines broke about aborted babies being found in a dumpster behind an abortion mill in Michigan. The two people to originally recover those discarded babies in the trash were my wife and myself, while we were still engaged.
The coverage was rampant on Citizens for a Pro Life Society’s site , EWTN radio, pro-life sites, and was even picked up by FoxNews.com.
That is correct. After sifting through empty pizza boxes, fast food wrappers, patient medical records, and even biomedical waste from that dumpster in Michigan, we held in our hands aborted babies’ bodies, about two dozen in number, each about six to 20 weeks gestation.
Family friend and advisor, Dr. Monica Miller made sure the children received a burial. I will describe those events in a future post or two.
Over the years since then, I have conducted several other dumpster dives, to see if I can recover any other babies from dumpsters. I figure those who are willing to murder babies will not necessarily have the strongest scruples over how they dispose of their broken bodies.
I am passionate about the pro-life movement, and I want to make use of my joy in writing to help in some small way to progress the cause. I will blog about many different topics, as they relate to the pro-life movement.
Outlook on Our Culture
I hope not much time would be needed to convince you that our culture is a mess: Rampant promiscuity. Widespread sexually transmitted diseases. Commonplace pornography use. A 50% divorce rate. Fatherless homes. Unabashed promotion of the homosexual lifestyle. So-called “same-sex marriage.” The list goes on and on of scourges on our culture.
I hereby propose that the cause of the majority of our cultural decline is a product of the acceptance of contraception use.
Such a thesis will be explored and, I believe, proven over time, in postings on this blog.
Widespread porn use? Well, why not? If sex is merely a pleasureful experience, according to the contraceptive mentality.
Rampant fatherless homes? Makes sense, does it not? I mean, raising children is not supposed to be a byproduct of having sex, according to the contraceptive mentality.
Children being manufactured through IVF? Not so far-fetched. After all, children are such rare commodities that we should ensure they are not diseased, according to the contraceptive mentality.
Commonplace spreading of STDs? Just another natural consequence to the thinking that sex is nothing more than a “consensual” activity.
At this blog, contraception use will not the only topic covered, by any stretch.
In fact, I intend to interview prominent, pro-life warriors, to be featured on this blog. As well, I will write about the theological and philosophical aspects of the war between the culture of life and the culture of death. We’ll explore how our culture reached the point it has and what we can do about it from here.
In the end, my prayer is that this blog will help facilitate in some small way the end to abortion in America, and the end to contraception use among Catholics and Christians, and the country at large.
