Are people out there regretting sex change operations?
If you believed the hype around Bruce Jenner, you would think not.
The mass media wants you to believe people can freely choose their gender identification. No one is bound by the laws of nature. Oh no, because then that would imply a Lawgiver.
The truth remains, though, regretting sex change operations is common. The “gender reassignment surgery” does nothing to cure the underlying, deep psychological issues leading to the drastic step of surgery.
Rather, such surgeries change only the cosmetic appearance of the person, but do not cure the ills the person feels inside.
BUT DON’T JUST TAKE MY WORD FOR IT, MEET WALT HEYER
At the age of 42, Heyer (pronounced “higher”) underwent surgery to become “Laura Jensen.” Eight years later, he reversed his decision, and went back to being Walt Heyer.
The interview is worth listening to and is very illuminating. Heyer is married, a committed Christian, and enjoying life as the man God made him to be.
Heyer also runs a ministry at sexchangeregret.com.
In his interview with Patrick Coffin, Heyer says he is often contacted by transgenders who are thinking of getting surgery. As well, he has spoken to numerous folks who regretted the surgery afterwards. Heyer also has accumulated several testimonies from others who, like him, are regretting sex change operations.
He says he has seen the regret sink in as quickly as a couple hours for some, or a couple decades for others.
In all, Heyer has found studies showing the percentage of those regretting sex change operations is up to 20%.
I encourage you to peruse his site, as he offers a wealth of information on the topic. He has also written several books on the topic, including these:
A SEX CHANGE OPERATION IS AN OXYMORON
As Heyer points out on his site, no surgeon can possible change the DNA of a single person. Thus, the sex someone is born with is the one they will remain till the day they die.
At most, the surgeon can mutilate the person’s body to alter their appearance, but he cannot change their sex.
And therein lies the problem for so many transgender people who undergo the surgery. The surgery cannot fix what isn’t broken!
The drug therapy required wreaks havoc on one’s health, not to mention.
But none of this gets reported by the mass media. That wouldn’t fit the illusion that we humans are in control of nature.
Were you aware people out are regretting sex change operations?
