Are you searching for a spouse?
Have you prayerfully discerned you may be called to the vocation of marriage, but can’t find anyone worthy of Holy Matrimony with you?
Let me suggest this advice: join the pro-life movement and see what happens.
DO GOOD, THEN LOOK AROUND YOU
A great suggestion I would recommend putting into practice when searching for a spouse remains to become busy in volunteer work.
You can volunteer at the soup kitchen for the homeless, Habitat for Humanity, the prison ministry, or other similar ventures. Once you put your free time to good use serving God’s kingdom, you will feel rewarded for putting smiles on the faces of those in need.
As well, you will meet wonderful, kind-hearted people doing the work alongside you. Take a moment to look around you to find a person of the opposite gender with similar values working alongside you.
“A good wife who can find? She is far more precious than jewels,” Proverbs 31:10 reads.
CONSIDER JOINING THE PRO-LIFE MOVEMENT IN PARTICULAR
Are a devout Christian? Are you searching for a spouse?
You would do well, then, to join the pro-life movement. The movement has a wide range of ages and appeals to both genders. But largely, it is a younger generation that represents the pro-life convictions in this country.
As such, with you likely being young and searching for a spouse, there resides a natural fit.
You will meet people who share important values like respect for human life, defense for the weak and vulnerable, and trust in God. Likely, you share strong family values and so would anyone you meet in the pro-life cause.
If you are searching for a spouse, then you should be preparing for parenthood. Where better to find a spouse who loves babies and children than in the pro-life cause?
If you seek to get involved, consider volunteering for your local crisis pregnancy center. As an alternative, you could contact your local diocese or church to see what pro-life organizations exist in your area. Find out who ran the most recent 40 Days For Life campaign in your area and contact them. Ask these folks how you can contribute to the cause.
CAN YOU ATTEST? DID YOU ALREADY MEET YOUR SPOUSE IN THE PRO-LIFE MOVEMENT?
I met my wife the day I joined the pro-life movement, myself, as I have recounted.
I know there are many others who have also met their husband or wife in the pro-life movement. If that is you, would you please leave a comment below telling us how it happened?
